Discover «Van Eyck» at your leisure with an audio guide. Buy your tickets online, at the museum or at the city shop and pay 25 euros instead of 28 euros during the exposition. Discount rates available for 19-26-years-old, 6-18-years-old, social fare «Uitpas», holders of a museumPASSmusées, a Citycard or UITPAS and Ghentians.

Each day you can book guides for groups of up to 20 people (in Dutch, English or French). Only official guides are permitted, so don't wait too long!

Book a school visite

On Tuesday and Thursday mornings, we are reserving the exhibition for school groups. All accredited educational institutions can then visit the exhibition with or without a guide. Group supervisors will be granted free admission.

Book a guide for schools

You can book a guide for a school visit each Tuesday and Thursday morning. A guided visit takes around 1,5 hours for higher education and 1 hour for primary and secondary schools.

Experience the 'Van Eyck' nocturnes

Experience an unforgettable and exclusive evening in the museum with the Van Eyck Nocturnes. You will have four hours to experience the exhibition in a more intimate environment, whilst also enjoying a drink during ‘An evening with Van Eyck’ or buffet dinner during ‘Dinner with Van Eyck’ in the iconic museum spaces.

Visit Van Eyck/Kleureyck with a combi ticket

Combine ‘Van Eyck’ in the MSK with a visit to ‘Van Eyck’s Colours in Design’ in Design Museum Gent on a day of your choice from 13.03.2020 onwards.

Practical information

  • The exhibition will be open 7 days a week, from 9.30 am until 7 pm. Every Monday, and intermittently on Friday and Saturday, the exhibition is open until 11 pm. You buy your ticket for entry at a fixed time. You’re of course free to enjoy the exhibition at your own leisure.
  • The multilingual audio guide, tailored to children, young adults or adults, is included in your ticket.
  • Your ticket also grants you reduced access to 9 Ghent museums throughout 2020: at Design Museum Ghent, Huis van Alijn, Industrymuseum, S.M.A.K., STAM, St. Bavo’s Abbey, St. Peter’s Abbey, Museum dr. Guislain and The world of Kina.
  • Supervisors of school groups and carers for disabled persons receive free entry and don’t need to buy a ticket. Holders of an ICOM-card valid in 2020 can enter the exhibition for free and don’t need to buy a ticket beforehand.
  • Trade partners can receive a 10% discount on the ticket prices. Please contact Peggy Hobbels at if you’d like to request a trade login.
  • Discount rates are available for inhabitants of Ghent, Friends of the MSK, holders of an “UITPAS regio Gent”, a valid Citycard or museumPASSmusées. The other reduction categories (UITPAS social tarif for the Ghent region, 6 to 18-year-olds, 19 to 25-year-olds) also remain valid until the end of the exhibition.
  • When you buy a ticket at reduced price, you’ll have to present the necessary validation upon your visit.
